Having Good Thoughts

Renewing Your Mind Through the Power of Right Thinking

"For as he thinks in his heart, so is he.”

What thoughts fill your mind each day? Many people are careful about the words they speak but pay little attention to the thoughts that shape those words. Yet Scripture tells us that out of the abundance of the heart, the mouth speaks. The condition of your mind and spirit determines the quality of your words, actions, and, ultimately, your life.

The health of your mind powerfully influences the quality of your decisions, your ability to stay focused, and your personal character. Your spirit is not just a passive part of you; it is active, creative, and designed to produce according to what it receives. Whatever you impress upon your spirit will ultimately be expressed in your life. This is why it’s vital to be selective about the thoughts and ideas you allow to take root within you.

Never dwell on what you don’t want to see happen. Reject any idea that does not align with God’s truth or the vision of His Word for your life. Complaining, doubt, and fear produce nothing but frustration. A transformed life begins with renewed thinking. If we want to see change, we must feed our spirits with the Word of God and let His truth reshape our perspective. Jesus taught that new wine can’t be poured into old wineskins; in the same way, a renewed mind cannot grow in a thought life filled with negativity and disbelief.

Feed your mind and spirit with thoughts of faith, love, purpose, and victory. As your thinking aligns with the Word, your life will naturally move in the same direction.

Prayer

Dear Father,

Thank You for teaching me the power of my thoughts and the importance of a renewed mind. I choose to focus on Your Word and fill my heart with things that are pure, true, and good. I reject every negative idea and align my thoughts with Your truth, knowing that my life follows the direction of my mind.

Amen.
